Senior Technical Recruiter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter based in India.

This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity focused on identifying and engaging exceptional technical talent for specialized engineering roles. You will own the recruiting lifecycle for hard-to-fill positions across AI/ML, full-stack engineering, DevOps,.NET, and architecture. The role emphasizes proactive outbound sourcing rather than relying primarily on inbound applications. You will build targeted talent pipelines, assess technical profiles, and conduct structured screening conversations that help hiring leaders make informed decisions. Working closely with founders and engineering leadership, you will have significant ownership over recruiting strategy and execution. Success will be measured by the quality and relevance of your shortlists, your ability to reach difficult-to-find candidates, and your impact on hiring outcomes.

Accountabilities

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process for specialized and senior engineering positions, from sourcing and outreach through screening and candidate progression.
• Build proactive outbound talent pipelines using platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Naukri, Wellfound, and other relevant sourcing channels.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-find professionals across AI/ML, full-stack development, DevOps, .NET, architecture, and related technical disciplines.
• Use advanced Boolean search, X-ray search, and other research techniques to identify passive candidates who may not be reached through conventional recruiting approaches.
• Conduct structured screening calls to evaluate candidates' technical background, experience, communication skills, motivations, and alignment with role requirements.
• Review technical resumes and profiles critically, with sufficient technical understanding to distinguish relevant engineering experience and engage candidates meaningfully.
• Partner directly with founders and engineering leaders to understand hiring priorities, calibrate candidate profiles, and refine sourcing strategies.
• Maintain a strong focus on shortlist quality, ensuring hiring teams receive relevant, well-qualified candidates rather than high volumes of loosely matched profiles.
• Continuously improve sourcing approaches, candidate engagement methods, and screening practices for niche technical positions.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional technical recruiting experience, particularly with senior, specialized, or difficult-to-fill engineering positions.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting for technical roles such as AI/ML Engineers, Full-Stack Engineers, DevOps Engineers, .NET Engineers, Software Architects, or similar profiles.
• Strong expertise in Boolean search, X-ray search, and advanced outbound sourcing techniques.
• Hands-on experience using recruiting and talent platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Naukri, and Wellfound.
• Ability to understand technical resumes and engineering backgrounds well enough to assess relevance and conduct substantive conversations with technical candidates.
• Strong candidate-screening and interviewing skills, with an ability to identify both technical alignment and overall role fit.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for engaging passive candidates and building relationships with senior technical professionals.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work directly with founders, engineering leaders, and hiring managers.
• A quality-first mindset, with a strong emphasis on producing highly relevant shortlists rather than maximizing candidate volume.
• Self-directed, organized, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a fast-moving remote environment.
