Position Responsibilities: - Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and provides a learning climate for the students.
- Assume responsibility for the safety, conduct and health of the students under his/her supervision.
- Ensure physical upkeep of the classroom and equipment is maintained.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and ---- in harmony with the goals ---- establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Strive to implement by instruction and action the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
Qualifications: - Michigan Department of Education Teacher Certification for Secondary Social Studies, 6-12 (RX)
- Experience in an Urban Education setting is preferred

Salary: $51,500 - $87,883 (Potential for additional stipends)
Contract : 188 Days (10 Months)
