Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

This role is responsible for the hands-on creation and packaging of meat products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled production environment. You will work with high-quality meats and sausages, operate industrial equipment, and help ensure that products meet strict quality and safety standards.

• Handle and process high-quality meats and sausages to maintain a consistent and reliable production flow.
• Place sausage links into Multivac packers and operate packaging machinery to prepare products for shipment.
• Navigate full and empty trolleys through the production area and move product from sticks into sausage cutters.
• Set up and operate industrial equipment such as cutters, metal detectors, and other production line machinery according to safety and quality guidelines.
• Visually inspect meat products to monitor quality, identify items that are out of specification, and place them in designated rework bins.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area free of debris such as meat and blood, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
• Follow recipes accurately, weigh ingredients precisely, and ensure all products are labeled correctly.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet daily production goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a physically demanding, cold food production environment.

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and stoop throughout an entire shift.
• Capability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in cold storage environments, typically between 30–45 degrees.
• Strong attention to detail when following recipes, weighing ingredients, and verifying labels.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding production environment.
• Understanding and application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a food production setting.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required.
• Previous experience in food production, meat processing, or a warehouse environment is typically preferred, with on-the-job training often provided.
• Food Handler Certificate is frequently required or considered a strong asset.
• Experience with general labor, general production, packing, and cold storage operations.
• Familiarity with meat cutting and handling cold food products.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate production line equipment, including cutters, metal detectors, and packaging machinery.

The role takes place in a cold storage production facility where temperatures typically range from 30–45 degrees. Work is performed on a production line with industrial equipment such as cutters, metal detectors, and Multivac packaging machinery. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting, standing, bending, and walking throughout the shift. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and employees are expected to follow GMP standards and all safety protocols while handling meat and working in a cold food environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Miami,FL.
